Why?

One evening, I wanted to create an online, shareable countdown timer for a friend-group dinner — a simple, silly way to share some excitement ahead of reconnecting. Googling searching for a clean, simple countdown website was a PITA. The UX on every one: dated. The selector forms: awful. They were riddled with overbearing ads — and worst of all, none of them highlighted the event or the timer at all. Not one would pass a production UX review.

Simply put, the vibes were off — and all of the existing timers sucked.

So I made clockdown: a simple, social-first countdown app for Timers that Don't Suck™️.
